Any jazz enthusiast knows that live recordings are often better than studio sessions. One way to Listen to Free Smooth Jazz Music Online is to tune into a variety of live broadcasts. There are also a number of radio stations on the internet which provide different genres of music. One being Live 365, a station similar to Satellite radio in format offers both free and paid listening services.

Archive.org, is an internet archive which features a variety of audio, books, video and other materials. The website provides legally archived programming free of charge. Much of the material can be downloaded though there are some restrictions. These restrictions are often requested by the bands and others hosted on the site and not at the behest of the website. As it is the internet archive in the literal sense as well as name, there are also a number of classic cartoons, and other shows from different decades which can be quite entertaining.

Whether desiring to simply listen to music or watch videos, sites like YouTube can often provide both audio and video formats. While fairly easy to upload video content, both YouTube and the Internet Archive have strict restrictions about that which can and can not be uploaded.

Premium members often pay a nominal fee in exchange for the elimination of sponsored advertisements. Those who don't mind listening to and viewing ads can often get by with the free version.

Apps are the newest trend when it comes to radio, traditional or otherwise. A number of Apps related to different radio stations, online and traditional can be found in an App store like Google Play and others. These Apps often have a number of features from online listening to contests and organization. While this is the case, when it comes to contests, it is often good to check with the radio station to assure contestants do not have to be local residents as is often the case with traditional radio stations.

Online radio can provide a way to listen to a wide variety of music. With classic and new channels, most listeners seem to enjoy the different styles played on each channel. While, at others, it is often just best to change the channel. Entertainment, lifestyle, news, politics and religious channels are also available on these internet radio stations.
